VCN - The Prime Minister has stipulated a list of vehicles and equipment that must be labeled for energy efficiency, and apply the minimum energy efficiency and schedule.

Accordingly, there are four groups of vehicles, equipment that must be labeled.

The first group is domestic appliances including: straight tube fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, electromagnetic and electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines for domestic use, rice cookers, electric fans, televisions, LED lights, water heaters with reserve. The second group is office and commercial equipment including copy machines, computer monitors, printers, commercial refrigerators, and laptops. The third is the group of industrial equipment including: distribution transformers and electric motors. The final group is means of transport group including: Suburban cars of 9 seats or less, motorcycles and electric motorbikes.

About the schedule for energy labeling, for the group of domestic appliances and industrial equipment groups, the Prime Minister requested to implement compulsory energy labeling for domestic appliances and equipment groups as follows: Straight fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, electromagnetic and electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps, air conditioners, rice cookers, electric fans, refrigerators, horizontal washers, stand washers, television, three-phase distribution transformers, and electric motors. Energy labeling will be implemented voluntarily until 31st December 2019 and compulsory from 1st January 2020 for LED products, and water heaters with reserve.

For office and commercial equipment: energy labeling will be mandatory for commercial refrigeration cabinets. Voluntarily energy labeling for copy machines, computer monitors and printers. It will be implemented until 31th December 2019 and mandatory from 1st January 2020 for laptops.

For the group of means of transport (new production, assembly and import): To carry out the compulsory energy labeling for cars of 7 seats or less. Furthermore, implement voluntary energy labeling for cars from 7 seats to 9 seats through 31 December 2017; For motorcycles and electric motorbikes will be 31 December 2019. From 1st January 2018, compulsory energy labeling shall apply for cars of more than 7 seats to 9 seats and for motorcycles and electric motorbike from 1st January 2020.

The State encourages voluntary labeling for means of transport and equipment not mentioned above.
