.Following the plans on drug prevention and combat of the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC), the leader of HCM City Customs Department directed Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch to work with competent forces to strictly control shipments exported to Taiwan.
As a result, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch seized the drugs.
The Customs inspected the export shipment declared as clothing, cosmetics, food and the consignee as a Taiwan company, of Mr. N.T.T, aged 25, residing in BinhThuan province.

After inspecting, Customs detected 3.988 kg of Ketamine hidden inside cat food bags. This is the first time Customs has discovered such asophisticated trick.

Currently, the case is in under the investigation by Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch and relevant forces.

Previously, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch also handled five cases of illegal imports of cannabis from the US and Canada to Vietnam, and seized 8.7kg of cannabis.
Thus, within two weeks, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch handled six consecutive cases of illegal transportation of drugs by air, seized 12.7kg of drugs, contributing significantly to maintaining social order and safety in the area.
