7,000 fake Chinese locks and drill bits seized by Hai Phong Customs

The Vietnam Intellectual Property Research Institute has concluded the assessment of a shipment of fake Viet-Nhat door locks, Bosch drill bits and Avatar chisels seized by the 2nd Zone Hai Phong Seaport Customs Branch. These products are protected in Vietnam under the Intellectual Property Law.

On June 8, a company located in Ha Noi opened a customs declaration to import the shipment.

The goods were declared as drill bits, door locks, chisels and wrenches and as 100% new.

However, Customs detected suspicious suspected signs with the shipment and conducted a physical inspection.

Customs detected that more than 21,000 locks and over 40,000 drill bits, chisels are fake products as per the conclusion of the Vietnam Intellectual Property Research Institute.
