93% of enterprises registered e-Tax payment service

According to the latest report by the General Department of Tax, by the end of August 2016, there have been 512,000 out of 554,000 traders nationwide (reaching 93%) which have completed registering service with commercial banks. The total amount of money collected for the State revenue has reached over 297,000 billion vnd since January 1st 2016 (particularly in August, 73% of the aforesaid amount of taxes have been paid through the internet) and more than 1.6 million transactions for tax payment have been conducted via electronic means (in August, there were 79% of electronic transactions).
Notably, the General Department of Tax highly appreciated the achievement by Thai Nguyen Tax Department which exceeded the target of 95% in three criteria in August.
In August, the criteria of the number of traders registering for e-tax payment was achieved as follows: 33 out of 63 Tax departments exceeded 95%; 28 out of 63 Tax departments attained the rate of more than 90%; 2 out of 63 Tax departments achieved less than 90% (Dong Nai, Lang Son).
With regard to the rates of monthly transactions via electronic means, only Thai Nguyen Tax Department reached the proportion above 95%; 40 out of 63 Tax departments from 70% to 94%; 19 out of 63 Tax departments from 20% to 70% and 3 Tax departments were less than 50% (Ha Giang, Lai Chau, Dien Bien).
The General Department of Tax requested directors of provincial and city tax departments which have not made achievements in e-tax payments (below 95%) to direct their divisions and Tax branches to strengthen information dissemination, encouragement and assistance to traders in e-tax payment. The target is to attain the proportion of 95% of traders paying taxes by electronic means in terms of three criteria (registering e-tax payment, number of e-invoices and amount of taxes collected for the State Budget via electronic means) by December 2016 .
