According to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Finance, on 20 November, 2016, there have been 56 more State owned enterprises which were approved for equitization including 6 State corporations.

The total actual value of the 56 State enterprises which were approved for equitization was 34,017 billion vnd. The actual value of State capital in the enterprises was 24,379 billion vnd . The authorized capital was 24,379 billion vnd in which the State held 11,937 billion vnd and sold to strategic investors 7,670 billion vnd , employees 388 billion vnd and trade unions 8 billion vnd and sold on public auctions 4,374 billion vnd.

Also in the first 11 months of 2016, the units withdrew capital of 3,558 billion vnd and collected 6,569 billion vnd. In which: withdrawal of capital from sensitive fields was 490 billion vnd and collected 450 billion vnd; withdrawal of investment capital from other enterprises was 1,578 billion vnd and collected 2,273 billion vnd. The State Capital and Investment Corporation sold capital in 59 enterprises with value of 1,489 billion vnd and collected 3,844 billion vnd.

Currently, the Ministry of Finance is finalizing a draft Decree to replace Decree 59/2011/ND-CP, Decree 189/2013/ND-CP and Decree No. 116/2015/ND-CP on equitization of State owned enterprise then asks for approval of the Ministry of Justice before submitting to the Government for promulgation in December, 2016.
