VCN – The Customs Enforcement Unit of An Giang Customs Department coordinated with PC03 – An Giang province Police to seize a speedboat transporting smuggled cigarettes.

Speedboat transported smuggled cigarettes

Through initial inventory, the working group found in the boat a total of about 1,500 bales (15,000 packs) of smuggled cigarettes. There were 1,250 bales of cigarettes branded Hero and 250 bales of cigarettes branded Jet.

Smugglers hid these cigarettes in the hold of the motorboat, carefully covering the top for transporting from Cambodia to Vietnam.

Customs and Police force was conducting examination

The cigarettes were discovered and seized in the area of Ap Bac Trung Hung, Nhon Hung commune, Tinh Bien district, An Giang.
