The APEC CEO Summit 2017 moves into its second day with 6 working sessions, and the highlight of the event will be a speech from Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
A welcoming ceremony for Chilean President Michelle Bachelet Jeria was held in Hanoi on the morning of November 9. She will fly to Danang to attend APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week later the same day.
In the past three days, many important events have taken place, including the APEC Concluding Senior Officials’ Meeting (CSOM), the Vietnam Business Summit (VBS), the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), and the APEC Ministerial Meeting (AMM).

A few minutes later, an aircraft carrying Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto landed at Danang International Airport at 10:20am on November 9.
Before departing for Vietnam, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto wrote an article asserting that Vietnam and Mexico were connecting the Pacific.
He put the emphasis on the great potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Mexico, with bilateral relations developing rapidly in all areas.
Mr Peña Nieto reiterates the Mexican government's commitment to continue strengthening trade relations with the Asia-Pacific region.
Mexico, Vietnam, and other partners will work hand in hand to fast-track the realization of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) as soon as possible and this will be a great trade integration with a vast market of 812 million consumers, he said.
