The above companies were inspected after customs clearance at the end of July 2019 by the Post Customs Clearance Audit Branch under the HCMC Customs Department.
After issuing decisions on post clearance audit for 16 companies importing ASANZO-branded products, the Post Customs Clearance Audit Branch visited registered business addresses to announce the decision and inspect import dossiers to clarify acts of tax fraud and evasion of these companies
However, at the registered business addresses of these 16 companies, the Customs agency discovered that there were no companies operating at these addresses.
Earlier, following the direction of the General Department of Customs, the HCMC Customs Department issued decisions on post clearance audit for 14 companies importing ASANZO-branded products
After issuing 14 decisions on post clearance audit, the Post Customs Clearance Audit Branch sent its officials to the registered business addresses of the above companies to announce the decisions but there were no companies operating there.
The local public security and government confirmed with the Customs agency that the companies did not operate at these addresses. Thus, the Customs agency could not conduct post clearance audits to identify acts of tax fraud and evasion of these companies.
