COVID-19: Health Ministry lists venues of high infection risks

The Ministry of Health issued an emergency announcement on March 25 regarding the movement history of several patients suffering from the novel coronavirus COVID 19 urging people who were at these locations at certain times to immediately contact health professionals and wait further instruction

This declaration comes after several people testing positive for the COVID-19 were said to have visited a number of restaurants, bars, and shopping centres in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

There are a total of four locations in Hanoi, namely a bun dau mam tom restaurant in alley 13 of Thai Ha street, a grilled pork belly street food eatery at 31A Ho Dac Di street, Vinmart in the Vincom Centre at 2 Pham Ngoc Thach street, and a noodle with eel restaurant at 42 Thai Ha street.

In addition, there are also two places in Ho Chi Minh City, including Buddha Bar and Grill at 7 Thao Dien street in District 2, and FV Saigon Clinic in District 1.

The ministry is calling on all people who had been to any of these places at certain times to immediately contact their local centres for disease control and await health monitoring instructions.

At present the total number of positive COVID-19 cases nationwide stands at 148, with 17 of the first few cases already being discharged from hospital after making a full recovery from the virus.
