Customs arrested the man trafficking more than 1.7 kg of cocaine

The functional forces have kept a close watch on a line of transnational cocaine trafficking on a large scale for a long time. As a result, a 32-year-old South African male passenger, on a flight from Doha was arrested by functional forces at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
During checking of his luggage, the functional force found cocaine inside plastic bags, mixed in the luggage, food and personal items. The man claimed to have financial difficulties, and debt, so he accepted trafficking cocaine to receive USD $3,500. If the cocaine were transported successfully to the US it would have an estimated street value of USD $ 300,000.
According to the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch during "Peak drug prevention month" as requested Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and directed by the Minister of Finance and the Director General of the General Department of Customs, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch found many cases of illegal transport drugs, and weapons.

n just over a month, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch arrested and prevented the illegal transportation of 1,2 tonnes of Khat leaves containing extremely toxic cathinone drug from Africa, 3 kg of heroin exports to Australia, 3 kg of methamphetamine from Africa and 2 kg of cocaine hidden in the belly of an eagle from South America to Vietnam.
The Director General of Police praised and rewarded Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch and directed the forces continue to coordinate investigating the line, operations and strictly treating related persons in accordance with provisions of the law.
