Customs – Border Defence forces of Ha Tien Border Gate checked two packages of smuggled face masks |
The force discovered Thanh had two packages on his motorbike. He declared he was transporting instant noodles to Cambodia for earning profit. However, the forces conducted a physical inspection for the above shipment and detected 4,700 surgical masks of the type with four layers without legal documents to prove the origin.
Thanh claimed he was a motorbike taxi driver and was hired to transport goods for a Vietnamese person in Cambodia. He did not know what the goods were until they were detected.
Through physical inspection, the competent force defined that Le Van Thanh exported 4,700 pieces of face masks illegally. |
Ha Tien Customs Branch made a record of administrative violations and seized the exhibits and vehicle for further verification and handling.
