According to the reporter of the Customs Newspaper, the number of people submitting applications directly at the office of the Hanoi Tax Office, the tax department was not really crowded. The taxpayer's questions were answered promptly, making the fulfillment of duties simple and convenient.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Head of the Hoan Kiem Tax Branch said, this year, Hoan Kiem District had about 5,000 records of personal income tax and corporate income tax. As of noon on 2 April 2018, this agency received about 80% of the total dossiers. With this progress, by the end of the closing date, the results shall be good.

At the Dong Da Tax Branch, according to Mr. Le Quang Hung, the Head of Dong Da Tax Branch, by the afternoon of 1 April 2018, the Branch received nearly 18,000 records through electronic payment and directly through Single Window, reaching nearly 80% of the plan on total 23,000 records of tax finalization. "In order not to end up with a deadlock on the last day, the Tax Branch also strengthens human resources for the electronic filing. Accordingly, people can understand and take initiatives in implementing their obligations", Mr. Hung shared.

Besides, for many years, tax agencies have continuously propagated and urged taxpayers to take initiatives in implementing tax finalization. With improved tax technology infrastructure, congestion at peak has not occurred in the facilitation of taxpayers.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Trang who performs tax finalization in Hoan Kiem District Tax Office, said that every year, she implemented the tax finalization for individuals and businesses, and she felt the change day after day with the administrative reform of the tax office. Now, she just needs a "click" on her computer to submit the dossier. This helps to reduce the time and effort for businesses.

In 2018, the system of tax warning has been applied in the balance sheet. Accordingly, the list of units is continuously screened to send notifications to unpaid units, thereby improving the taxpayer's sense of compliance, speeding up the filing process. According to the representatives of the Tax Branches, the awareness of taxpayers’ compliance has improved over the years, reflected in the faster submission process with a better quality.

According to the regulations, individuals and enterprises that submit dossiers within 5 days after the last day of the accounting period will be warned. However, the tax agency recommends that taxpayers implementing the tax finalization on time will be more profitable because even if they have not yet been fined and only the warning will be issued, the prestige and corporate brand will be negatively affected.
