Detect an export shipment of bycicle forging Vietnam origin
Bicycles which were forged Vietnam origin were seized by Binh Duong Customs. |
The shipment had 313 bicycles with total value of more than US$26,000 which is equivalent to about 603 million VND of E. Bicycle Co., Ltd., exporting to the US market. They opened customs declaration at the Song Than Industrial ParkCustoms Branch.
According to the initial declaration of E. Bicycle Co., Ltd., the above item is a bike that is assembled in Vietnam, made in China. Its declaration was classified to the yellow channel system.
However, through information obtained from the Post-clearance audit Department at Decision No.738/QD-KTSTQ of the Director of the Post-clearance audit Department about on-sit audit. Song Than Industrial Park Customs Branchset criteria to change the flow to physical inspection. Through screening and conducting physical inspection, the force found there was a word "Made in Vietnam" labelled on the product packaging as well as the bicycle products.

E. Bicycle Co., Ltd. is an enterprise operating two types of business that are processing and export production, importing all components from China. In Vietnam, this enterprise just simply assembles at the final stage.

With the above violation, the Customs Branch made a record of administrative violations and temporarily seized the shipment for further investigation and handling in accordance with law.
Following the guidance of the Director General of Vietnam Customs on the fight against fraudulent origin of the Customs sector, the Director of the Post-Clearance Audit Department and the Director of Binh Duong Customs Department has directed units to enhance coordination, sharing and exchange information to analyse, identify the right key shipments that need to monitoring, strict control, apply risk management, classifyinginspection flow of import and export goods in clearance stage and post-clearance audit for cases of forging origin.
