Detect the large quantity of goods failing to implement customs declarations at Hai Phong port
Product was automatic door closers of KING brand without declaration. |
On March 13, a representative of Dinh Vu Port Customs Branch (Hai Phong Customs Department) said the unit is considering and handling violations related to failing to declare the quantity of imported goods and trademarks.
Previously, on March 10, an enterprise located in Dong Anh district (Hanoi) opened an import declaration at a Customs branch in Hanoi under the form of intermodal transport.
Goods are imported from China to Hai Phong port.
According to the declaration, the goods were Steel hinges of window, plastic door roller using for sliding window wheels and door handles.
However, through suspicious signs, Dinh Vu Port Customs Branch decided to stop taking goods to the supervision area and conduct a physical inspection.
According to inspection results, in the item "steel hinges of window, size (90*70*20 mm), no brand, brand new 100%", the quanity was 13,080 units. However, physical inspection showed the actual imported goods were hinges branded CHUGH, VP, GH length is 105mm, brand new 100%, and the quantity was 24,840 units.
Thus, enterprise committed the act of fail to declare trademark and the quantity was in excess compared to the declaration by nearly 12,000 units.
Besides that, for some products, enterprise imported goods like window lock handles branded CHUGN and KIN LON but they did not declare trademarks.
Notably, in the shipment, there were 640 products which were "automatic door closers" of KING brand, model 70 series, brand new 100% " but the enterprise also did not implement a customs declaration.
The case is being verified and clarified by Customs authorities.
Pictures were taken by reporters at the scene.
