Dien Bien Customs coordinated to stop the transaction of 8,000 tablets of ecstasy
One man in a group of people selling 8,000 tablets of ecstasy in a hotel was seized by competent force. |
According to the Dien Bien Customs Department, at 4:20 PM on September 8, in the area of Team 17, Pom Lot commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province, Anti-Drug Enforcement Team - Dien Customs Department Bien coordinated with the PC04 Division - Dien Bien Police to discover two young men driving two motorbikes into room 101 of Xuan Long Guesthouse with suspicious signs of buying, selling and transporting illegal narcotics.
In the hotel, when the working team conducted an inspection, they discovered four young men and they tried to run away.
The working group arrested two men,Nguyen Van Thieu (was born in 1974, residing in Team 2, Nua Ngam commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province) and Quang Van Minh (was born in 1966, residing in Ta Let village, He Muong commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province).
When checking the burlap bag on Thieu's body, the forces discovered 38 pink and blue plastic bags. On each tablet there was the symbol WY (suspected to be synthetic drugs).
Thieu and Minh confessed that 38 plastic bags containing 8,000 tablets of synthetic drugs (ecstasy). They were arrested by the force while they were being transacted (with the subjects who run away).
The working group made criminal records for Nguyen Van Thieu and Quang Van Minh, and made records of sealing exhibits as prescribed.
Currently, Dien Bien Police Department is investigating and handling in accordance with regulations
