Discover 2 violated import containers at Da Nang from Hanoi
The evidence were temporarily seized by Customs authority. |
According to the information source of the Customs News, in early June 2018, through the process of online monitoring at the Online Customs Supervision Division at the headquarters of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the unit performed their shift duty (of the General Department of Vietnam Customs), and discovered two containers (1 container 20 feet, 1 container 40 feet) that had opened import declaration by Dac Minh Hoang company, opening at the Da Nang port Customs Branch with many signs of violations.
Immediately, the unit urgently called, requesting the Da Nang port Customs Branch to conduct a physical inspection of the entire shipment.
According to the enterprise's declaration, the imported goods were glass cleaners, baby strollers, and children's diapers, originating in Japan.
However, the results of physical inspection showed that only a few of the imported goods matched the declared items, while most of the goods in the two containers were subject to prohibited import goods, or conditional import, but enterprises did not have a license.
"Significantly, there were many used electronics, household appliances, motorbike parts, which are banned from import. And supplementary foods, cosmetics ... that are subject to specialized management," the source added.
The initial verification results showed that the case had many signs of criminal violations, so the competent forces of Customs sector are continuing to verify, investigate and clarify to handle in accordance with the law.
