On the afternoon of 16 April 2018, talking with a Customs correspondent, the leader of Anti-drug Enforcement Team confirmed that at 2 a.m on 12th April 2018, at the area of Nguyen Duc Thuan street, Group 17, Thach Ban ward, Long Bien district, Hanoi, the Anti-drug Enforcement Team collaborated with Anti-drug Crime and Investigation Police Team under the Public Security of Ha Dong district, Hanoi city and Public Security of Van Phuc Ward, Ha Dong District, They caught an offender named Pham Anh Tuan (permanently living at Ngoc Thuy ward, Long Bien district, Hanoi) for the illegal transportation of drugs

At the occurrence, the competent forces inspected the trunk of the car with licence plate 30E - 287.28, and discovered a yellow sack of bamboo shoots containing 2 bars of white powder (sized 4.5x2x15cm, which were covered with yellow wax paper inside and blue nylon outside; 25 nylon bags (sized 7 x 8.5 cm) containing 4,996 tablets of which 4,948 pink tablets in 24 blue nylon bags, and 48 blue tablets in 1 pink nylon bag.

The exhibits

Initially, the offender confessed that the 2 bars are heroin estimated at 0.375kg; 25 plastic bags are synthetic drugs estimated at 1kg.

The above goods were to be sent from Son La to Hanoi and then transported to other provinces for consumption, but were arrested by the competent forces.
