VCN - March is a peak month in the tax settlement of individuals and enterprises. During past years, overload situations took place on the lastdays of the settlement deadline. Now, both tax agencies and enterprises have made specific and careful plans to facilitate the tax settlement

From the beginning of March, in order to facilitate the tax settlement, many localities have trained their enterprises. Through training sessions, Tax agencies have stated new points, amendments and supplements to the policy on corporate income tax (CIT) and personal income tax (PIT). So that enterprise and taxpayers can implement the tax settlement smoothly and exactly and avoid congestion of data transmission which causes time loss for enterprises and taxpayers

Hanoi Tax Department is one of units that has good preparation for the month of tax settlement. In order to support the tax payers, from 9th March to 16th March 2018, Hanoi Tax Department has organized 10 free training courses for 3,000 enterprises in the city. The training program has focused on some main contents such as policy on CIT and PIT, invoices and documents. In addition, it has also made some notes to taxpayers in the tax settlement for 2017 and summarized some typical problems and solutions.

Hanoi Tax Department has also applied IT to all stages to handle administrative procedures for taxpayers and provided the maximum facilitation to taxpayers in the implementation of tax policies and minimized risks of CIT and PIT settlement for 2017.

According to Director of Propagation and Support Division under Hanoi Tax Department Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, in order to improve the propagation and support for taxpayers in fulfilling tax obligations, from the beginning of 2018, Hanoi Tax Department has deployed unified measures from the Department to 30 tax Branches in communes, districts of the city. Thereby, helping taxpayers to take the initiative in grasping information and implementing quick tax settlement.

Through a survey of some training places, most of the enterprises shared that they had good preparation for the tax settlement for 2017. Mrs. Tran Thi Oanh, representative of a Branch of Hanoi Construction No. 1 Company stated that this year, enterprises carriedout the PIT settlement for nearly 600 employees. Previously, the tax settlement was only stipulated for more than three-month contracts. According to the new regulation, in 2018 the tax settlement for 2017 shall be applied to employees with one-month contracts. Therefore, with a large quantity of tax settlement dossiers, the Company has made a specific plan to carry out the tax settlement procedures. Specifically, the Company has implemented the tax settlement on 15 March 2018.

According to many enterprises, the good understanding of procedures, guidelines and update of new policies shall help enterprises be more active. Enterprises shall have time to correct their mistakes and Tax agencies shall suffer fewer pressures.

From the beginning of March, Tax Departments in the country have organized a series of training courses for enterprises. At the same time, Tax agencies have focused on supporting the guidance on tax policies and tax declaration and software application, made plans and assigned staff to receive financial reports and tax settlements for 2017, preventing the congestion and time loss for taxpayers.

Tax agencies have also recommended that individuals who submit paper PIT settlement dossiers should submit them soon and should not submit on the last days of the PIT settlement deadline, 31st March 2018 is the final date for submission. Individuals, who have overpaid tax and request a tax refund or tax offset, should submit the dossiers after 31st March 2018.
