Extending time for selecting “Reliable exporters” in 2020

VCN - To ensure quality, comply with regulations in the selection and facilitate firms to fully participate in the programme "Reliable exporters" in 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has delayed the deadline for sending selection results to its Import and Export Department to May 20, 2021 instead of April 20, 2021 as before.

On April 26, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued document No. 2314/BCT-XNK announcing the delay in sending the results of the selection of "Reliable exporters" in 2020 programme to the Export and Import Department by May 20, 2021.

The reason given by this ministry is according to the recommendations of a number of agencies and organisations, the verification of the completion of tax, customs and environmental obligations to complete the enterprise's profile involves many authorities. This leads to a failure to meet the time limit for selection in accordance with the regulations proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Previously, on March 10, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Document No. 1271/BCT-XNK regarding the selection of "Reliable exporters" in 2020. Agencies and organisations had to send the results to the Ministry of Industry and Trade by April 20, 2021. After this time, the selection results sent to the Ministry of Industry and Trade were to be considered invalid.

The list of "Reliable exporters" in 2019 selected by the Ministry of Industry and Trade included 268 enterprises.
