VCN- On 26th January 2018, the leader of Northern Customs Marine Enforcement Fleet (Fleet 1-under Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department of the GDVC) said that the unit has detected and seized a high speed boat transporting nearly 200kg firecrackers of all types.

Customs force inspects means of transport and infringing goods.

Implementing the plan on marine enforcement before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2018 and the plan on breaking special case PN-118 of the Northern Customs Marine Enforcement Fleet, approved by the leader of Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department. At 8:20 p.m on 24th January 2018, at coordinates 21o48’11”N; 108o09’14”E, North East Coast Quang Ninh Province, the working team of Fleet 1 detected 1 high speed boat including 3 objects who were loading goods on a fishing boat without a registration plate.

Infringing goods

The objects jumped on the high speed boat to go to Chinese coast when they saw the Customs force.

The Customs force searched the boat and seized 10 carton boxes of firecrackers of all types with total weight of 196.6 kg.

Currently, Fleet 1 has issued a decision on temporary seizure for means of transport and goods to investigate and handle in accordance with the law.
