VCN – According to Cau Treo Customs Branch (Ha Tinh Customs Department), the unit has just collaborated with Cau Treo Border Station, Drug Prevention Division (Ha Tinh Border Defence Forces), Police of Huong Son Ward in order to arrest a person who transported 598 synthetic narcotics tablets.

At 8 AM of 9^th April 2017, in the entry channel of Cau Treo international border gate, the working group conducted an inspection for a car with license plate of Laos UN7490, owned by Ngo Sy Manh, was born in 1971 and lived in hamlet 5, Dien Xuan Ward, Dien Chau District, Nghe An province. However, this car was driven from Laos to Vietnam by Phan Van Nguyen, was born in 1989, lived in hamlet 2, Dien Ky Ward, Dien Chau District, Nghe An province.

Through the inspection, the working group discovered some nylon packs was hidden inside the leather of gear stick. Then, they checked those nylon packs and found 598 pink tablets, suspected as synthetic narcotics.

Ngo Sy Manh declared that those above tablets are synthetic narcotics and were bought from Laos and shipped to Vietnam for consumption. Currently, the subject and exhibits were transferred to appropriate authorities for investigation and handle in accordance with regulation.
