Hai Phong collects nearly VND 84,200 billion to State revenue

At the 16th session of People's Council of Hai Phong City term XV (term 2016-2021) that took place on December 21, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung said the speed of economic growth (GRDP) of the city in 2020 was estimated at 11.22%, about four times higher than the growth rate of the country (expected to increase by 2-3%).
Total revenue collection in the province reached VND 84,199.2 billion, of that, revenue collected from import-export activities reached VND 50,000 billion, down 16.1% and local revenue collection reached VND 34,199.2 billion, up 17.2%, domestic revenue reached VND 30,000 billion, up 11%. Basically, it has completed the task of central budget allocation.
The main economic indicators continued to grow from the same period: the index of industrial production (IIP) increased by 15.05%; export turnover was $18.95 billion, up by 18.46%; volume of goods through the port was 142.8 million tonnes, up 10.56%; and total investment and development capital was VND 172,250 billion, increased 13.49%.
In 2021, Hai Phong set a number of main targets such as GRDP growth (constant 2010 prices) will reach 13.5% compared to 2020.
Industry - construction will increase by 19.2%; service will rise 7.84%; agriculture, forestry and fishery will increase 1.06%; and tax of product minus product subsidies will increase 7.02%.
GRDP per capita (at current prices) reaches $6,600.
The index of industrial production (IIP) will increase 17%; the proportion of processing and manufacturing industries in GRDP will reach 40.7%; the proportion of high-tech industrial products value in the processing and manufacturing industries will hit 46.5%; the total social investment capital will reach VND 204 thousand billion; and export turnover will reach $22.3 billion.
Regarding revenue collection, in 2021, Hai Phong aims to collect VND 89,490,478 billion, of that domestic revenue will reach VND 35,000 billion.
