Hai Phong Customs coordinate to seize two bricks of heroin

On December 23, according to Customs Enforcement Unit, implementing coordination regulations of Hai Phong City Police and Hai Phong Customs Department and directives of the leader of Hai Phong Customs Department: At 6:30 AM on December 20, 2019, near Tien Cựu Toll Gate, Highway 10 in the area of Quang Trung Ward, An Lao district, Hai Phong City, Customs Enforcement Unit worked with Unit 1 – PC04 (Hai Phong City Police) to arrest Nguyen Duc Thuan (born in 1966, lives in Ha Nam, Quang Yen, Quang Ninh) and Tran Minh Duc (born in 1993, lives in 127 Dien Bien, Cua Bac, Nam Dinh) who was driving when they were transporting illegal drugs.

Forces seized two bricks of heroin and awhite 4-seat Hyundai car with license plate 18A-14744.

Currently, Criminal Investigation on Drugs Police Division have seized the drugs and arrested the people for continued investigation and extension of the case.

Recently, Hai Phong Customs has worked with Hai Phong City Police and forces to combat many drug cases.

Typically, expanding Project 719 on July 12, 2019 by the Ministry of Public Security and according to the request of Specialised Committee, the Customs Enforcement Unit (Hai Phong Customs Department) coordinated with competent forces under the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Coast Guard arrested three people and seized 80 bricks of heroin on September 18, 2019, in Nam Dinh City.

The people include Thach Thi Van (born in 1963 in Nghe An, lived in Dien Bien Phu City) as shipper; Dang Thi Hoa (born in 1961) and Tran Thi Hanh (born in 1969). Both of them lived in Nam Dinh and were the recipients.

These three "female monsters" are in the line of illegal trafficking and transporting large quantity of drugs from Laos to Dien Bien to Nam Dinh. This line was led by Nguyen Thi Le Anh (born in 1981, lived in Dien Bien).
