Hai Phong Customs detected 2 Rolls Royce cars that are in the list of prohibited import goods

On 2/7, according to the information of Customs Enforcement Unit (Hai Phong Customs Department), the unit has implemented procedures to hold in custody 2 Rolls Royce cars for further investigation.

Previously, through studying information on areas, transportation routes, cases, phenomena, means of transport on exit, entry and transit as well as related persons, Customs forces finally detected the suspicious shipment.

Furthermore, on 28/6, at the Tan Vu port in Hai Phong, the Customs Enforcement team coordinated with Hai Phong port area 1 Customs and carried out the inspection and detected infringing goods that were 2 used Rolls Royce cars originating from United Kingdom with production year in 2000 and 2001 (more than 5 years, from the year of production to the year of importation). Those cars were in the list of prohibited goods (Section II) Part I of Decree No. 69/2018 / ND-CP of the Government dated 15/5/2018.

The shipment was transported by Wanhai Vietnam Co., Ltd, in Hai Phong Branch from Long Beach Port, USA to Hai Phong Port. Then Sunrise Logimex Co.,Ltd, (located in Ho Chi Minh City) as forwarding agent delivered the shipment. As known, the goods were declared incorrectly on the transport document as "2 Units of Auto Parts".
