VCN – A case of transporting 1,044 foreign wine bottles without legal document has been seized by Quang Tri Customs force.

Wines were seized by Customs force.

According to information of Quang Tri Customs Department, after receiving information from the source, on 26/6, Control Station of Lao Bao Trade Zone (Gate B), Lao Bao Trade Zone Customs Branch coordinated with Customs Enforcement Unit (under Quang Tri Customs Department) to inspect a car with license plate No. 15B-011.35 driven by Pham Quang Hieu (live in No.330, Tran Thanh Ngo street, Kien An District, Hai Phong).

Through the inspection, Customs force detected and seized 1,044 foreign wine bottles including Ballantine, Jonnie Walker, Chivas Regal, and Macallan. Those wines do not have legal documents with estimated value is over 520 million vnd.

The Lao Bao Trade Zone Customs Branch has made a record of administrative violation and issued the decision on the temporary seizure of the above shipment. Then transferring the case document to Quang Tri Customs Department for further handling in accordance with regulations.
