VCN – Discussing with a correspondent of the Customs Newspaper, The Manager of Bắc Phong Sinh Customs Branch (Quang Ninh Customs Department), Mr Kiều Văn Ninh said that, on November 22, 2016, the unit handed over all the exhibits of nearly 3 tons of fireworks to police for further investigation.

As the Customs Newspaper published, at 10:30am on November 17, 2016, the Customs Enforcement Team and Technical Team under Bắc Phong Sinh Customs Branch detected a large amount of goods transported from China to gather at the parking lot of Bắc Phong Sinh border gate.

The working group conducted the inspection to check documents and discovered 89 blue bags of pineapple in the shipment; inside each bag was 360 cylinders, size 12cm x 3.8cm (electronic fireworks used in festivals), the total weight of the shipment was 2.848 tons. The shipment had no identified owner.

This is the first case of seizing fireworks that Bắc Phong Sinh Customs Branch implemented in 2016.
