HCM City: More than 42,000 enterprises implement procedures via HCM City ports

According to HCM City Customs Department, the total number of enterprises implementing customs procedures via border gates in areas of HCM City was 42,723 enterprises, increasing by 12 percent over the same period in 2018.

In particular, the number of import enterprises were 36,300, up by 13.57 percent and export enterprises were 15,731, increasing by 10.27 percent over the same period in 2018.

With the increase in the number of enterprises, the amount of import – export declarations at HCM City Customs Department also increased significantly, with 1.56 million declaration, increasing by 19.14 percent over the same period in 2018. Of that, the amount of import declarations reached 825,000 paper, increasing by 17.13 percent and export declarations reached 737,000 papers, an increase of 21.48 percent over the same period last year.
