Regarding the management of e-commerce business, apart from propagating and disseminating the obligation of tax declaration and payment to individuals and organizations doing e-commerce business, the HCM city Tax Department has sent 6,232 invitations to 16,534 website owners and Facebook accounts engaging in e-commerce business to guide them to understand and comply the policies on tax, tax self-declaration, and self-payment.

From the written confirmation of data for organizations and individuals required to declare additional revenues, until September 2017, the HCM City Tax Department has collected an additional VAT of 107 million VND, a CIT of 188 million VND, the PIT of 8.3 million VND and total fine and late payment of 111 million VND.

In the last months of 2017, the HCM City Tax Department will continue to process data and propagate to taxpayers engaging in e-commerce business to know clearly tax policies, voluntarily declare and pay taxes. At the same time, collecting tax arrears and fining individuals and organizations who do not declare and pay taxes, commit acts of tax evasion or fail to abide by decisions issued by Tax agencies.

In addition, to carry out the specialized project on business management of high-class and food services, until the end of September 2017, the HCM City Tax Department has examined 112 traders with a tax arrear and fine of 8.2 billion VND, a deductible tax amount of 3.8 billion VND and a reduced loss of 49,53 billion VND.
