According to the reporter of the Customs Newspaper, right from the beginning of the morning, some individuals came to declare and pay taxes at the support point at the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department’s Office. However, the number of taxpayers were not significant, the guidance for tax declaration and payment took place very quickly.

According to Mr. Bui Nam Trung, Deputy Head of the Personal Income Tax Division, the support for tax finalization is carried out in a closed process. After being instructed, individuals will declare and submit tax finalization documents and pay taxes at banks arranged in Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department. Wearing all protective workwear to declare and pay taxes at Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Khoa, an employee of a contractor said he enlisted in the early morning to ask Tax officers for guidance on tax declaration in order to avoid errors. After being guided, after more than 1 hour, Mr. Khoa completed the personal income tax declaration and payment for 2018.

Not only receiving support and guidance from the tax agency, tax finalization declarants also receive free support from Ho Chi Minh City Tax Agent Club at support points of tax agencies, increasing the number of help desks of tax agents. Ms. Duong Thi Ngoc Lan, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Tax Agent Club, said that while Ho Chi Minh City Department of Taxation organized the program to support taxpayers, tax agents arranged their staff to freely support individuals implementing tax finalization.

According to the leader of HCMC Tax Department, in order to avoid overloading in the implementation of tax finalization, this year HCMC Tax Department shall strengthen its support to the taxpayers through information channels such as: Social network, Tax Department website: .gov.vn, hcmtax.gov.vn.

The program to support PIT finalization will take place from March 18 to April 1, 2019 - the deadline for submitting 2018 PIT finalization documents and will be deployed simultaneously at 25 points at the Head Office of the Tax Department and district tax branches.
