In photos: PM Phuc begins official visit to the US

Those present to welcome the guests are Vietnam Ambassador to the US Pham Quang Vinh, Ambassador and Head of Vietnam’s Permanent Mission to the UN Nguyen Phuong Nga and members of a Vietnamese permanent representative delegation to the UN.

As scheduled, PM Phuc will hold talks with President Donald Trump, meet some US senators and secretaries, US businesses and the Vietnamese community in the US, and deliver a speech at the Global Heritage Fund.

The Government leader’s visit to the US takes place on May 29-31.

Soon after arriving in New York, PM Phuc met Robert H. McCooey Jr, Senior Vice President of Nasdaq’s Listing Services in New York on May 29 (local time).

Robert H. McCooey Jr told Mr Phuc that Nasdaq has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with VNG on listing the company’s shares on the US stock market.

Later, the Cabinet leader met Vietnamese entrepreneurs and intellectuals,

Professor Ngo Thanh Nhan and his wife, Merle Ratner, who have joined efforts to overcome war consequences in Vietnam and assisted Vietnamese dioxin/Agent Orange victims’ fight for justice, and

Vietnamese permanent representative delegation to the UN.
