Increase revenue to tens of thousands billion VND by inspection

Specifically, in the field of tax, as of 26/11/2018, the tax authorities have conducted nearly 78,600 tax inspections at enterprises, and inspected over 424,960 records in the tax authority’s headquarter, proposed to handle the state revenue collection of nearly 15, 400 billion VND (the amount of money already paid into the state budget was 10,200 billion VND); anti-price transfer, loss reduction over 25,100 billion VND; recovery of 28,100 billion VND of tax arrears.
In the Customs field, up to 15/11/2018, the Customs authority has implemented 6,500 post clearance audits, handling to increase the budget to 2,000 billion VND; urging and handling to collect tax debts of 1,333 billion VND; detecting, arresting and handling over 15,500 cases of violations in the customs area, increased revenue of 306 billion VND; Customs authorities prosecuted 62 cases and transferred 99 cases to competent authority for prosecution.
In order to achieve the above results, the General Department of Taxation and the General Department of Vietnam Customs have actively and drastically deployed in the management of revenue collection and loss prevention, anti-smuggling and trade frauds, anti-price transfer.
Thus, in order to complete and exceed the assigned tasks of state revenue collection in 2018, in the remaining time of 2018, the Tax and Customs authorities will coordinate with the relevant local authorities to further strengthen the work of revenue collection, loss prevention, anti-smuggling, trade fraud and price transfer.
Particularly, in the field of Taxation, in 12/2018, tax authorities at all levels will continue to forcefully implement debt recovery and tax debt enforcement, striving to bring the total tax debt up to 31/12/2018 not to exceed 5% of total state budget revenue as planned.
