Lang Son: Arrest a subject who stored nearly 3 quintal of firecrackers

VCN – Through a discussion with a Customs News reporter, a representative of Lang Son Steering Committee 389 said that, the Police Criminal Division of Lang Son province has arrested a person storing nearly 3 quintal (0.3 metric ton) of firecrackers for sale in the Lunar New Year 2018.

On 17/1, while the working group was doing their duty at Ta Lai village, Tan My commune, Van Lang district, Lang Son, they received information that a subject was stocking large numbers of firecrackers in the house.

Immediately, the working group unexpectedly entered the kitchen area in the house of Hoang Van Thuc (born in 1985, residing in the district of Van Lang, Lang Son province). In there, the working group discovered that there were 11 carton boxes and a blue pineapple bag containing 270 kg of firecrackers including: 12 cakes of firecrackers with total weight of 20 kg and box of firecrackers with total weight of 250 kg (type of 36 pieces/box).

After a struggle, Hoang Van Thuc claimed that he went to China to buy large quantities of firecrackers and brought them back for storing in the kitchen. Then he sold them at a profit to consumers who wanted to use them in the 2018 Lunar New Year.

Representatives of the Steering Committee 389 Lang Son said that, currently, the subjects and exhibits are being carried out by the competent forces in accordance with regulations.
