“Lifting a net” of 466 bricks of heroin operating by Taiwanese people

The line of illegal trafficking and transport of narcotics from Cambodia to Vietnam for exporting to Taiwan via seaway leading by Taiwanese (Chinese) people was successfully destroyed by the Customs and Police forces.
In order to successfully destroy this line, the Police Department of Drug Crime Investigation (C04) - Ministry of Public Security developed and implemented the 419D project and the General Department of Vietnam Customs directed to develop and implement the Special Project MT619, assigned the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department as Director of the specialized project, directing and coordinating directly with C04 to participate in the project on November 3, 2019. After successfully closing the project, the forces seized 446 bricks of heroin, arrested two persons, blocked the line of trading, transporting drugs from abroad into Vietnam and exported to Taiwan by the Taiwanese (Chinese) as a leader.

From the intelligence and international coordination information about Taiwanese (Chinese) groups operating drug trafficking and transportation lines from aboard and gathering in Vietnam in order to export to Taiwan, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has directed the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department to establish Project MT619, deploying the coordination with the police force of Police Department of Drug Crime Investigation (C04) - Ministry of Pubic Security to establish investigation plan and verification.
Through the investigation process, the Specialized Project Committee determined that a large number of drugs were gathered in the suburban zone of Ho Chi Minh City waiting for the opportunity to export to Taiwan, the Specialized Project Committee and the coordinating forces met and assigned nine working teams to supervise 24/24 at suspected drug hiding places and simultaneously convened and worked with 12 related subjects.
On November 2, 2019, based on documents collected during the struggle process, documents provided by the Taiwan Police and the information and documents obtained from the testimonies of the above 12 subjects, Specialized Project Committee met and decided to solve the case on November 3, 2019, of that assigns specific tasks to each unit and soldier participating in the project.
As planned, on November 3, 2019, the Specialized Project Committee was divided into 3 working groups to search simultaneously at 5 suspected drug hiding locations in suburban areas of Ho Chi Minh City. In particular, searching at warehouse A5/147E Lang Le Bau Co Street, Hamlet 1, Tan Nhut Commune, Binh Chanh District - Ho Chi Minh City, the Specialized Project Committee seized a total of 446 bricks of heroin. These drugs were hidden in 6 sacks, some are mixed in many plastic sacks that used to camouflage and hide drugs when exported to foreign countries. Through searching the remaining 4 locations in Binh Chanh District - Ho Chi Minh City, Specialized Project Committee seized 1 vacuum and 1 motorbike.
At the same time, C04- Ministry of Public Security ordered the arrest of people in emergency cases for Ha Tan Ban (was born in 1980, lives in G14/10J hamlet 7, Le Minh Xuan commune, Binh Chanh District , Ho Chi Minh City) and Tran Van Duc (was born in 1979, lives in Ta Ky hamlet, Ninh Hoa commune, Hong Dan district, Bac Lieu province).
