The top real estate tax debtor is Diep Bach Duong Co., Ltd, with a debt of VND 33.9 billion; followed by Thanh Nien JSC with VND 33.1 billion; Meinhardt Construction Consulting Co., Ltd, (Vietnam), with VND 29 billion; Khang Thong Group JSC with VND13.5 billion; and Duc Hanh Transportation Construction Company with VND 11 billion;
Thang Long Real Estate Transaction Floor JSC with over VND 9.6 billion; Dat Lanh Real Estate company with more than VND 4.4 billion; Nam Bo Dong Construction Co., Ltd, with over VND2.2 billion, and Nam Trung Construction Trading Co., Ltd, with more than VND 4.2 billion.
Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department has taken coercive measures to collect tax debts from the above-mentioned tax debtors, such as by: blocking bank accounts for deduction to budget payment; preventing the use of invoices and requesting the competent authorities to revoke the business licenses.
According to Customs newspaper, last week, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department has publicly announced a list of 1,258 tax debtors with a total amount of over VND 1,556 billion (as of 30th May 2018).

Although Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department has taken many measures to recover debts, companies still delay to fulfill their obligation of tax payment to the State budget.
