Masks disguised as clothes for export

VCN- Two sacks of masks disguised as clothes forillegal export to Cambodia have been seized by Dinh Ba Border Gate Customs Branch (Dong Thap Customs Department) and the Border Guard.

The working team inspected smuggled masks.

At the intersectional check point of Dinh Ba International Border Gate (Dinh Ba Hamlet, Tan Ho Co Commune, Tan Hong District, Dong Thap Province), the Customs and Border Guard forces inspected and detected Phan Van Phu who drove a motorbike carrying a sack of goods from Vietnam to Cambodia.

The working team has requested Phan Van Phu to stop for inspection. Phu said that he shipped goods and there was one more sack at a bus stop (about 100 meters away from the checkpoint).

Through the inspection, the working team detected cloth masks inside the sacks. Phu has no documents proving the legality of these cloth masks.

Masks were disguised as clothes.

At the same time, Mr. Mai Ngoc Thuan claimed that he was the owner of these masks and he had no documents proving the legality of the goods. Thuan said that he bought these masks in Ho Chi Minh City to transport to Cambodia for sale. Thuan said that had no documents proving the legality of the masks and did not carry out customs procedures for export.

Both sacks of masks are being counted and handled.
