Nearly 100kg of drugs sent from Germany to Noi Bai discovered

Drugs were seized by competent force

On January 6, the Drug-related Crime Investigation Police Department of Hanoi Police Department said that the unit had just coordinated with the competent authorities to fight and dismantle the drug trafficking and transportation lines from abroad to Vietnam by air.

Accordingly, the competent forces arrested three suspects and collected 98 kg of drugs of all kinds. The three suspects and exhibits were handed over to the HCM City Police to continue investigating and expanding the case.

Previously, through capturing the situation at Noi Bai International Airport, PC04 of Hanoi City Police has coordinated with Hanoi Customs Department to inspect and detect suspected drug packages.

The parcels containing drugs were detected by competent force

The competent forces discovered three bills of lading including eight packages, weighing more than 205 kg and sent from Germany. As a result, 98 kg of synthetic drugs were hidden inside the parcels, including 45kg of MDMA, 53kg of Ketamine and 2,000 packages of "fun drinks".

Hanoi City Police, Hanoi Customs Department and HCM City Police arrested three people in connection with the incident.

Based on the documents and evidence, the Investigation Police Agency of Hanoi City Police has handed over the objects and evidence to HCM City Police for further investigation in accordance with its competence.

Assessing the case, Hanoi City Police said that many subjects carried out tricks to illegally transport drugs in the form of international express delivery, through international shipping companies. Then drugs will be disguised by criminals in packages of goods such as coffee machines, vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, candy boxes, and supplementary food boxes. Thus, it caused difficulties for competent forces to detect the drugs.
