Nearly VND 7,000 billion refunded to HCM City enterprises

VCN – By the end of June 2020, HCM City Tax Department had processed 1,075 dossiers of VAT refund for enterprises, with the amont of more than VND 6,915 billion.

According to the HCM City Tax Department, the tax finalisation in 2019 coincided with the time the country implemented social distancing under Directive 16 of Prime Minister to prevent the Covid – 19 pandemic, so HCM City Tax Department has implemented solutions to support businesses with tax refunds.

HCM City Tax Department organised to receive the dossiers, processing and returning tax processing results of businesses and individuals through the electronic tax system (eTax) and via post.

Developing an application to look up the status of processing personal income tax refund dossiers on the website of HCM City Tax Department for creating convenience for taxpayers in monitoring.

According to the HCM City Tax Department, the number of individual tax refund dossiers is very large and increasing each year, so to speed up the handling and reform of administrative procedures, HCM City Tax Department has coordinated with State Treasury of the City to speed up the refund of personal income tax by making a refund order for the list of personal income tax refund dossiers which are below VND 50 million and implementing digital signature signing for the decision of personal income tax refund.

Besides that, HCM City Tax Department promoted and processed VAT refunds immediately in accordance with the provisions of law and the process of the sector so enterprises and individuals can timely have capital to recover production and business. By the end of June, the department had processed 1,075 dossiers of VAT refund for enterprises with a total of more than VND 6,915 billion.
