In addition, suplementing the provisions on traceability, regulations on preservation, processing and consumption of exported products, and the Single Window management accepted in FTAs on the basis of international standards.
At the same time, strengthening international cooperation with countries in the region and the world to improve management capacity and integration of the fishery.
Attracting foreign direct investment for development of the fishery in all 3 freshwater, brackish and marine areas. Producing aquatic species of high economic value; microbiological preparations for water treatment in aquatic environment; and specific types of food for each type of aquaculture.
Developing supporting industries for offshore exploitation such as production of fishing gears for selective exploitation of some aquatic species of high economic value for export; repairing, renovating and building offshore fishing vessels with more appropriate and modern gear.
In addition, taking advantage of tariffs to boost exports of key and potential goods according to tariff reduction schedule in FTA markets with Vietnam and expand potential markets. At the same time, enhancing capacity building to tackle technical barriers in international fisheries trade.
Maintaining and boosting the export of high quality products such as shrimp, pangasius and frozen fresh tuna to Japan and the US market.
Developing a database of technical barriers and voluntary technical barriers in major seafood import markets to provide valuable information to State management agencies, industries and producers to actively meet the market requirements.
