Over 1,500 automobiles arrived at Sai Gon port in the first week of Ky Hoi year

According to the information from Hiep Phuoc Customs Branch – HCM City Customs Department, in the first working week in the new year of Ky Hoi 2019, the Branch has implemented customs clearance for 20 customs declarations of enterprises importing cars, with the number of 1,501 units. Among them, there are 1,151 tourist cars, the rest are in the form of pickup trucks.

In 2018, Hiep Phuoc Customs Branch has completed clearance procedures for more than 35,000 imported cars, in that they were mainly cars under 9 seats originating from ASEAN, which were subjected to preferential import tax at 0%.

Due to the impact of preferential tariff policies for imported cars from ASEAN countries, the revenue collected from cars under 9 seats of the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department has reduced by thousands of billion VND.
