Police track down 19 enterprise directors being run away due to tax debt

VCN – 19 import enterprises that owed total tax debt of nearly 120 billion vnd, have been broken down and run away from business registration address. HCMC Customs Department sends offer to Police agency in order to support for track down the director of those businesses.

According to Deputy Director of HCMC Customs Department – Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghiep, in recent time, at some border gate in HCMC, some newly established enterprises continuously import many shipments with very low declared price. When Customs authority conducts post clearance audit for fixed tax, the enterprise did not show up and shut down business that aims to cause difficulty in management and tax debt retirement.

Based on finding, through document screening at Customs Branches, HCMC Customs Department has initially listed 19 enterprises generated 120 billion vnd of tax debt. Based on the business profile, the Customs Department found that these enterprises showed signs of tax evasion.

Through verification by the Customs authority, most of the enterprises did not operate at the business registration address. In order to track down those directors for taking the responsibility of paying taxes to the state budget, HCMC Customs Department has signed a document and sent to leaders of Department of Security - Finance - Currency and Investment (A84- Ministry of Public Security) for searching assistance.
