Considering the report of the Ministry of Public Security on the results of information verification on camouflaged narcotics confiscated in confectionery and sold uncontrollably online, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Public Security to coordinate with the Ministry of Information and Communications and related agencies to strictly control, prevent and handle activities of promoting, trafficking narcotics, psychotropics, pre-substances and products containing narcotics on the internet

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance (General Department of Vietnam Customs) to strengthen the inspection, supervision and detection of imported and unidentified goods which are imported into Vietnam in the form of "hand – carried goods".

Those agencies should timely prevent the transportation of narcotics, psychotropics, pre-substances and products containing narcotic substances from abroad into Vietnam.

The Deputy Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Justice to co-ordinate with the relevant authority to research and improve the legal system, to strictly handle the illegal production, stockpiling, trading and transportation activities of products containing narcotic substances.
