Quang Ninh Customs seize 8kg of smuggled fireworks

VCN – On February 6, 2017, Mong Cai Customs Branch discovered and seized 8kg of smuggled fireworks made in China, at the terminal for entry.

Smuggled firecrackers was siezed by Quang Ninh Customs force.

According to the information from Quang Ninh Customs Department, at 11 am on February 6, during the inspection and monitoring at the gate area of Bac Luan border gate, Customs officers of Mong Cai Customs Branch detected 1 package.

Detecting suspicious signs, a Customs officer asked the people around but nobody claimed the package so he invited witnesses to put the whole package to the office for further inspection. It included: 12 bags containing fireworks, 15x20 cm and 2 lines of firecrackers with a length of 40 cm, language was printed in Mandarin on the label; a total weight of 8 kg.

Based on the statistics of the Quang Ninh Customs Department, from January 16 to February 2, 2017, the unit discovered and arrested three illegal transportations of all type of fireworks.

Typically, on January 16, the Customs enforcement unit under Hoanh Mo Customs Branch discovered and seized 28 kg of fireworks. Till now, the force has not identified the owner of this shipment.
