According to the latest report from the General Department of Taxation, in March, total State revenue collected by the Tax sector was estimated at VND 82,632 billion. Thus, the accumulation in the first 3 months, the General Department of Taxation collected more than VND 262 trillion. This revenue reached 24.5% of the estimate and increased 6% compared to the the same period last year.

Of which, revenue from crude oil was estimated at over VND 13 trillion (equivalent to 36.9% of the estimate). According to the General Department of Taxation, revenue from crude oil increased by 13.9% compared to the same period thanks to the paid price which was quite high compared to the estimate and highly increased over the same period. At the same time, domestic revenue was estimated at over VND 249 trillion (equivalent to 24.1% of estimate and up 5.6% over the same period). The revenue excluding land use fees, lottery, dividends, the profit difference was estimated at VND 206 trillion (equaling 23.8% of the estimate and increasing by 9.4% compared to the same period in 2017).

According to the report, as of the end of the first quarter, 14 of 17 revenues and taxes collected by Tax sector reached good growth compared to the same period in 2017.

In addition, the accumulation in the first 3 months of 2018, the Central budget revenue was estimated at VND 115.5 trillion (equivalent to 22.9% of the estimate, increasing by 8.9% compared to the same period in 2017); the Local budget revenue was estimated at over VND 147 trillion (equivalent to 26% of the estimate, increasing by 3.7% compared to the same period in 2017).

In order to achieve these results, in the first 3 months of 2018, the General Department of Taxation has instructed and guided Tax Departments to deploy the 2018 estimate with an active and strict spirit to reach the desired target. Along with that, the Tax sector has accelerated the upgrading and improvement of the Tax management system to handle obstacles on regulations related to tax declaration and payment and tax accounting. At the same time, upgrading the portal to expand the provision of the e-services for Taxpayers.

In the first quarter of 2018, the Tax authorities at all levels have regularly updated policies and administrative procedures and all Tax operations on the mass media to provide and guide Tax payers in a timely fashion. The Tax sector has given priority to support and handle all difficulties and obstacles in the compliance of tax policies and business production of enterprises and business households, especially the implementation of tax finalization 2017.
