Revise up revenue through review of tax declaration dossiers

According to the General Department of Taxation, by the end of February 2020, the tax sector conducted more than 3,600 inspections and examinations, reaching 3.9 percent of the plan for 2020 and checked 23,443 tax declaration dossiers at tax authorities.
From the beginning of the year to now, total revenue from tax inspection and examination is more than VND 9,694 billion, up 188 percent compared to 2019. In addition, additional tax revenue from inspection and examination is VND 6,895 billion, from tax deduction reduction of more than VND 137 billion, from loss reduction of upwards of VND 2,662 billion.
Total tax revenue contributed to the State budget is more than VND 533 billion, up 43.38 percent. The tax authority has inspected 303 enterprises (collected revenue from tax arrears, refunds and fines of more than VND 6,481 billion; from tax deduction reduction of VND 51.13 billion; from loss reduction of more than VND 378.69 billion) and paid VND 347.43 billion to the State budget.
Along with that, tax authorities have inspected 3,289 enterprises and paid 180.9 billion to the State budget.
Particularly, inspecting tax dossiers at tax authority’ headquarters tax authorities inspected 23,443 dossiers and paid VND 5.62 billion, reduced tax deduction of VND 0.29 billion and reduced tax losses of VND 57.22 billion. Through reviewing tax declaration dossiers at tax headquarters, the tax authority has detected errors of taxpayers to revise up declared tax amount or to impose tax.
