Seize 26,700 synthetic drugs tablets via express mail services to Hanoi

Synthetic drugs

Previously, during the screening process for cargo transported via express, anti-drug enforcement team of Hanoi Customs Department detected suspicious signs of imported goods shipped from the Netherlands to Vietnam. The consigner (on the package) was: Linda. Address: Netherlands. Postcode: 1012BN. The recipient (on the package) was: Nguyen Hoang Viet (No. 3, alley no. 35, Hang Bot ward, Dong Da district, Ha Noi city, Viet Nam).

Hanoi Customs Department immediately coordinated with competent forces to inspect this shipment. In fact, competent forces discovered inside the package containing nine plastic bags, outside packages were looked like coffee bags, containing 26,700 blue triangle tablets. The Anti-Drug Enforcement Unit (Hanoi Customs Department) took a quick sample. The result showed that the tablets reacted positively to the MDMA / ECSTASY sample.

The competent forces simultaneously deployed to arrest 3 people (including 2 people in Hanoi and 1 person in Ho Chi Minh City) when they came to do a procedure to receive the above goods and seize all drug.

Currently, those people and all drugs have been handed over to the Investigation Agency (Division 7 –Drugs Investigation Police Department) for further investigation and handling in accordance with law.

The subjects of the case

Previously, in March 2017, the units of the Hanoi Customs Department presided and coordinated with the Drugs Investigation Police Division (PC47 - Hanoi Police) detected a case of transporting illegally over 20,000 synthetic drugs via express.
