Seize a shipment of nearly 400 kg of seahorses and bladders
Earlier, on 13/4, at the warehouse of International Cargo Terminal of ALS Cargo Terminal (ALSC), the Customs Supervision Unit (Noi Bai International Airport Customs Branch, in coordination with Division 4 - Police Department for Anti-Smuggling Crimes, the General Department of Police, the Customs Enforcement Unit (Hanoi Customs Department) conducted a physical inspection of a shipment which was overdue the deadline for doing customs procedure.
As a result, the competent forces detected that inside the shipment were dry foods with a bad smell. The net weight was 352 kg.

In particular, there were 18 packages containing bladders of unknown species and 5 packages of seahorses with a net weight of 44kg.
Currently, the entire shipment of 23 packages has been sealed and handed over to ALS cargo terminal Co. Ltd., for holding in custody in Noi Bai under the supervision of the customs supervision team, Noi Bai International Airport Customs Branch, and waiting for settlement.

According to a customs officer of Noi Bai International Airport Customs Branch, the unit is waiting for the Certificate of Appraisal from the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology) and seeking the freight owner in order to establish a basis for handling in accordance with regulations of law.
