At the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, who is also Myanmar’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister of the President’s Office is paying an official visit to Vietnam from April 19-20.

The visit by Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi takes place at a time when Vietnam-Myanmar relations have seen positive developments with strengthened political trust and bilateral cooperation under the framework of the Vietnam-Myanmar comprehensive cooperative partnership.

As scheduled, Aung San Suu Kyi is to pay a courtesy visit to Party General Secretary Nguyen PhuTrong, meet National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and visit the Uncle Ho Stilt House before her return to Myanmar.
