At the investigating agency, the offender Nguyen Van Phu (born in 1990, residing in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province) declared that he went to Cau Treo international border gate to transport the drugs hidden in dozens of loud speaker boxes on a truck with a Laos number plate. After that, Phu took this shipment from Cau Treo international border gate (Ha Tinh) to Nghe An.

In order to clarify the declared information, a reporter from Customs Newspaper talked with Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Customs Department Dih Van Hoa. Hoa said that Nghe An Police seized the large volume of drugs hidden in loud speaker boxes, the unit also collaborated with the police force to extract data for further investigation.

Accordingly, through searching data on the system from January 1, 2018 to April 17, 2019, Ha Tinh Customs has not carried out import procedures or customs clearance for any shipment of electronic products through the province.
