VCN – The competent forces of Tan Son Nhat International Airport coordinated to check and prevent the smuggling of hundreds of used mobile phones.

Around 20:15 on October 5, 2022, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch in coordination with Tan Son Nhat International Airport Border Guard Police and the Economic Division of HCM City Police Department checked the luggage and a passenger who was on entry.

This passenger is a Vietnamese citizen, entering from Singapore. This person brought two pieces of hand luggage. Through inspection, the competent forces discovered inside two pieces of luggage containing 246 used mobile phones of unknown types.

The case was agreed by the Working Group to hand over the person and material evidence to the Economic Division of the HCM City Police to expand the investigation in accordance with its competence.
