Tax collection from business section increases by 13.6 percent

VCN - According to the latest report of the General Department of Taxation, the total accumulated State revenue in eight months of 2019 managed by the tax authority was estimated at 814,186 billion VND. This revenue was equivalent to 69.7 percent of the ordinance estimate, up 12.3 percent over the same period in 2018.

According to statistics, at the end of August, revenue collected from crude oil was estimated at 87percent of the estimate. The General Department of Taxation stated that this revenue was mainly due to the average oil price of $67.9/barrel, 4.4 percent higher than the estimate.

Notably, by this time, domestic revenue was estimated at 69 percent of the ordinance estimate, increasing by 13.4 percent over the same period in 2018.

According to statistics, there were 11/18 type of revenues, tax types achieved good result in revenue collection (more than 67 percent). Most of the revenues and taxes had a positive growth rate over the same period in 2018, of that the business sector increased by 13.6 percent.

According to the General Department of Taxation, to achieve this result, the sector has implemented measures to enhance collection management, combat the loss of revenue and recover tax debts. At the same time, well implementing the State revenue estimates that assigned by the National Assembly and the Government, launching emulation movements to strive to overfulfill the State revenue estimates as assigned.

In inspection work, from the beginning of the year, the tax sector also focused on implementing solutions on revenue collection management such as regularly checking and reviewing the number of enterprises registering for business; promoting inspection and examination and strengthening the management of sales invoices.

In the first 8 months of 2019, the whole tax sector has implemented 55,701 on-site inspections at taxpayers' offices; 279,881 tax dossiers were verified at the tax authorities.

The total amount of monetary penalty through inspection was estimated at 32,700 billion VND. In particular, the total amount of tax increased through inspection and examination was more than 8,900 billionVND; deducting over 1,380 billion VND; reducing a loss of nearly 22,400 billion VND.

From the beginning of this year until now, the tax sector inspected 295 enterprises with associated transactions; proposing to be handled through inspection of more than 7,900 billionVND.
